Dental Exams and Cleanings for Kids

We’re parents too, so we understand the challenges of getting kiddos to care for their teeth.

Our caring and experienced team will make it fun. Your child will…

  • Learn good brushing and flossing technique
  • Get X-rays taken to monitor the development and health of their teeth
  • Receive a thorough cleaning
  • Be evaluated for gum disease and possible orthodontic issues

Fillings and Restorations

Over 90% of kids will get a cavity at some point. Every cavity is serious – even those in baby teeth. Left untreated, the result can be serious pain, infections, and lifelong health complications.

Our approach to fillings and other tooth restorations is simple: helping your child prevent decay. Then, we focus on early detection of any developing decay.

When cavities are caught early, fillings are less painful, less invasive, and less expensive.

Extractions and Emergency Treatments

We know firsthand all the trouble kids can get into! Whether they’re playing sports, roughhousing, or just exploring, accidents happen.

If your child needs an emergency appointment to fix a broken tooth, we can help.

Our caring children’s dentist can also extract teeth to prevent overcrowding or other long-term health problems.

Did your child’s tooth accident happen after hours? Give us a call and we’ll schedule you for an appointment as soon as possible.

Sports Mouthguards and Sports Injury Treatments

It’s great when kids are active, but many sports, including soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and even cheerleading can pose a risk to your child’s dental health.

A custom-made sports mouthguard can help protect your child’s teeth from chips, cracks, and other damage.

Questions? We Can Help!

  • What age should children start going to the dentist?

We recommend that you take your child to the dentist as soon as their first tooth erupts — or when they reach the age of two, whichever comes first.

  • Do I need to brush my baby’s teeth?

Start brushing your child’s teeth as soon as the first tooth appears. We suggest wiping the gums and teeth with a soft cloth or brushing with a small soft toothbrush and water. Once you take your child in for their first dental visit, your dentist will be able to provide you with individualized instructions for maintaining your baby’s oral health.

  • Why are my child’s teeth rotting?

Eating too many sugary or acidic foods and drinks combined with poor brushing and flossing habits can cause your child to develop cavities. Make sure you help your child properly brush and floss — and keep up on their regular dental hygiene appointments — to avoid rotting teeth.

  • Will decayed baby teeth fall out?

Some parents mistakenly believe that it’s okay for baby teeth to get cavities since they’ll eventually fall out anyway. However, cavities in baby teeth must be treated. Untreated cavities in baby teeth can cause improper bite alignment, crooked teeth, speech impediments, severe tooth pain, and oral infections.

  • Does dental insurance cover implants?

Most dental insurance don’t include dental implants, however this is not always the case. Check with your insurance provider or talk with our team. Financing options are available. Plus, we offer a dental savings program that would allow you to save 15% on your dental implant treatment!

Let us know how we can make your child’s dental visit successful. We’re here to help.
