Veneers

Are Veneers Right for You?

Veneers are an incredibly versatile cosmetic treatment and can be used to correct:

  • Stained or discolored teeth — especially stains caused by medications
  • Worn or chipped teeth
  • Misaligned teeth with small gaps
  • Rough or jagged teeth
  • Teeth that aren’t in proportion to the rest of your mouth

But veneers aren’t perfect for everyone. In cases of advanced tooth decay or other dental health issues, our cosmetic dentistry may recommend another option like dental implants or natural tooth-colored crowns.

What Are Veneers?

Custom-made from an ultra-thin porcelain shell designed to cover your teeth. Our cosmetic dentistrys use veneers to hide chips, gaps, cracks, and stains too deeply set to be removed by whitening treatments alone.

Ask About Traditional & No-Prep Veneers

At The Winning Smile Dental Group we offer both traditional cosmetic veneers and high-tech no-prep veneers. The biggest difference is that no-prep veneers are designed to adhere directly to your teeth and don’t require the removal of any tooth structure. This means they can be removed in the future if desired. Traditional veneers, which do require removal of tooth structure are not removable.

There are advantages to each option and your dentist can explain your options during your initial consultation.

Questions? We Can Help!

Your smile makes a difference in the world and in the lives of those you care about the most.

Do veneers ruin your teeth?

No, porcelain veneers do not ruin your natural teeth. Veneers act as a protective shell and actually strengthen your natural teeth. Veneers can be particularly beneficial for those who are suffering from chips, cracks, or breaks, which can affect the integrity of your entire smile.

On average, porcelain veneers last for 10 years, but with proper maintenance and care, your veneers can last for much longer, even up to 20 years!

Your lifestyle habits are important to consider when deciding if veneers are worth it. For example, veneers may not be recommended for those who bite their nails, grind their teeth, or like to chew on ice. However, if you’re looking for an “instant improvement” or have small imperfections and don’t need a full mouth rehab, veneers may be an excellent option. Our dentists will evaluate your mouth and goals to help you understand whether or not tooth veneers are worth it for you.
